The Divine Miss M was not able to make it out to Love Out Loud VI in her old stomping grounds last month. She was more than willing, however, to help out Dab the AIDS Bear Project by signing one for Dab to put on auction. Mrs. Herschenfeld is quite generous with her time and we hope that as she closes out the All My Children experience she will continue to be appreciated for all her creative work on the iconic Soap Opera.

"Have we been waiting for something like this since Billie, then Dinah passed on--i.e. groovy, in-the-tradition jazz singing that actually means something? Heir apparent Betty Carter is on an ego trip, Cassandra Wilson is too arty... and so on. Abbey Lincoln's trip is something else again (perhaps Parisian) as she poignantly introduces "How High The Moon" in broken French and triumphantly ends the set with Francis Lai's "Live For Life."
