Friday Feature: What Giovanni is Up To

■ April 28, 2011 at The Stonewall Inn 53 Christopher Street in New York City: Giovanni and two guys with three names are going to put out for you ... some great music from 7 to 9pm. The Stonewall shows are really a great time, taking a stroll through some great songs. This time the stage will be shared with two great talents. On the keyboard will be Michael Kevin Walsh. Everyone loves Michael.

Michael Kevin Walsh, (pianist, singer, actor, recording engineer, coach), is the creator and proprietor of The Smooth Spot digital recording studio in New York City and leads The Smooth Spot Jazz Trio. In the musical theatre, Michael has performed numerous leading roles including Billy Bigelow in Carousel, Fred Graham in Kiss Me Kate, and Chuck Baxter in Promises, Promises. Michael has entertained at upscale venues throughout the country and Europe. "I am thrilled to have this handsome, talented man accompany me. Rehearsing with him is a joy."

Our special guest for the evening is Mark Aaron James who is also transatlantic in his endeavors. Mark was at the last show and the audience had a great time with his original songs. MAJ was a fixture in the alternative music scene in Nashville. Maybe we can convince him to do his great rendition of "Leave Your Hat On."

As usual upstairs at The Stonewall Inn's Cabaret there's a cover charge with a two drink minimum. This will be a great launch for...

■ May, 11, 2011 at Prohibition (84th & Columbus Ave) where Love Out Loud VI will take place. This year POZ has partnered with We Love Soaps. Nicholas Rodriguez will be on hand again along with Martha Byrne, Brian Gaskill, Matt Walton, Mark Dobies, and Kevin Spirtas. Scott Herman will come down from New Hampshire once again to greet fans. (Appearances may change due to scheduling conflicts)
