Gay Thursday: James Franco on General Hospital

When James Franco brings twisted artist Franco back this summer, his real-life mother will join him! As previously reported, the Milk star returns to GH on Wednesday, June 30, and now a rep for the soap confirms that Betsy Franco will begin a short-term role on Friday, July 2, when Spinelli tracks down the eccentric, murder-obsessed artist's mom. But before James Franco returns to GH next week, the actor will make his first appearance on The View earlier that day, airing at 11 a.m. EST on ABC. In related news, GH has tapped Bruce Davison to play the short-term role of Wilhelm Van Schlagel, Franco's art dealer. The Oscar nominee will make his three-episode cameo appearance beginning in early July.
