Pretend it's 1978 and you're reading the national "entertainment" magazine and here is the cover story on the hottest heartthrob, gay and otherwise, Jan Michael Vincent.






Word on the street back in the day was that Jan's homophobia killed the chances of a big screen version of The Front Runner. As sophisticated as we all pretended to be back then, we were sure enough naifs. This wonderful spread in a thinly veiled gay magazine should have flown right in the face of that. Experiencing the young Mr. Majors in The Big Valley was magnificent fodder for adolescent hormonal terrain.
