Songs of the Week: Burt Bacharach, Scott Walker, Bruce Kimmel and Christian Hoff

This week you are entertained again with strains of classic Bacharach as we continue to add to the line up for Bacharach to the Future.
Scott Walker's rich voice gave great inspiration to "Make It Easy On Yourself." His interpretation when he led the Walker Brothers leads off this week's trio of songs.

The other two songs are stand outs from Bruce Kimmel's production of a Bacharach tribute with Linda Purl's "A House is Not A Home" and certainly one of the best recordings of "My Little Red Book" interpreted by Melba Jones.

Speaking of Bruce Kimmel and Burt Bacharach, the great news has to do with marvelous man Christian Hoff whose impressive theatrical resume began at the age of eight, no less, and it includes his Tony award winning role as Tommy DeVito in Jersey Boys. Casting him as Joey Evans in Pal Joey is nothing less than inspired. This talented and generous man has graciously agreed to be part of Bacharach to the Future, POZ magazine’s World AIDS Day fund-raiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The man who is furnished with more than one exceptional talent is one of the brightest lights on Broadway. He will do the inspiring when it comes to interpreting Mr. Bacharach’s music come December 1st at New World Stages. Visit his official site.
