The JRockingR Company is proud to announce the release of Tony Award winner* Michael Rupert’s debut single, recorded for his forthcoming CD.
“Racing to the Moon” is from the new Matthew Riopelle/Michael Rupert musical, Streets of America.

This limited edition CD-R Single is available only through Footlight.com. Only 100 copies have been pressed and each CD-R is numbered and autographed. It contains 3 tracks - Michael’s solo version, an instrumental version performed by producer & guitarist, David Timmons and a bonus track from the 2006 demo recording performed by Sebastian Arcelus (JERSEY BOYS) and Cullen R. Titmas (National Tour of AVENUE Q).

A portion of all proceeds will go to the Leukemia & Lyphoma Society, in memory of Michael’s father, Charles.

Michael Rupert won both a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for his work in the 1986 Bob Fosse directed revival of Sweet Charity. He created the role of Marvin in March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland. Other Broadway appearances have been in The Happy Time, Pippin, City of Angels and Ragtime.



He has made his debut as a composer with 3 Guys Naked from the Waist Down (Drama Desk nomination), Strange Vacation and Streets of America. He wrote the score and starred in the musical Mail at the Pasadena Playhouse, the Kennedy Center, and on Broadway.


Michael made his Off-Broadway directing debut with The Lunch Anxieties. Off-Off-Broadway he directed City for The Filling Station and two one-acts for The Threshold Theatre Company's Caught In The Act at HERE. He recently directed the musical Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story at the York Theatre and Ragtime at Point Park University.



On television he has had roles in: Law & Order, New York Undercover, All My Children, Cheers, Alice, The Waltons, and One Life to Live.

Dror Barak Dead at 38 2.27.2012 By Out.com Editors Model and personal trainer reportedly dead from apparent suicide According to reports on Facebook and Twitter, Dror Barak, aka Roman Ragazzi, has died of an apparent suicide on February 25 at the age of 38. Barak most recently appeared in a fashion story in the February issue of Out , titled "New York's Finest," photographed by Marcelo Krasilcic (pictured left). The former Israeli military trainer was outed in 2007 by New York Post’s "Page Six" while working at the Israeli consulate, the ensuing scandal caused him to resign. Later that year, he started a personal training and fitness company called Freedom Fitness.
