Good friend Mike Salinari , a mainstay in the West Village and The Grove is having a fund-raiser for GMHC: On Sunday July 19th, 2009 Richard Parisi and myself will be organizing a benefit supporting the GMHC. The purpose of this benefit is to raise awareness of the GMHC and their longstanding commitment in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The afternoon fundraiser will include live entertainment, along with auctions and 50/50 raffles. It has been many years since Cherry Grove has done a benefit for this cause and with your support we will be successful. The President is in serious danger of motivating a huge mass of gay people to stream into Washington for the simple joy of standing in front of the White House and giving him a piece of their minds. This frustration may lead to an embarrassing situation for the President, where former supporters mount the largest anti-Obama pep rally not fronted by Sarah Palin. The action is in protest of a noxious legal brief submitted by the Department of Justice.
