Saturday Beefcake: Al Dente

We are continuing with stealing from Eating Well but this time from the diet book they've published called, what else, The Eating Well Diet (7 Steps to A Healthy Trimmer You). The book bears reading. It offers a very organized way of getting back to healthy eating involving a glycemic index. Once more here is a salad, but this time something very creative involving pasta and blueberries.

As all pasta addicts concur, al dente is the only way to eat it. From About.com: al dente refers to the desired texture of cooked pasta in Italian cooking. It literally means 'to the tooth'. When the pasta is cooked al dente, there should be a slight resistance in the center when the pasta is chewed.

With all this talk about getting trim and healthy, not to mention al dente, it makes good sense to offer images of humans who are trim and healthy and who give new meaning to the words al dente. They are also well garnished.
