Tuesday Talent: Timothy Adams

A little over a year and a half ago we said this here:

Timothy Adams made quite a splash on Sunset Beach when he created the character of Casey. One Life to Live did bring him on as Ron Walsh in the recent past much to many a viewer's applause, but he was seen seldom and too briefly. There was much ado around here when he showed up on Rescue Me as Probie's very interested roommate. With all due respect to the Bard, it was much ado about nothing. The story which might have been ground breaking became a joke, while many hurried up to wait for what amounted to a dry hump. Rescue Me might have at least taken advantage of showing off his corporeal attributes in a show where doing so is not unknown, as a matter of fact, One Life to Live didn't either, another show where doing so is not unheard of. However, last October when the plot on Law & Order: SVU required him to do so, there was a barrage of unique visitors to his fansite created by BGR Design so large that it brought the site down. That Mr. Adams stole the hearts of this WebLog a long time ago is no secret to those familiar with the inner mechanisms of the Column of Life. As he approaches the milestone of his fourth decade this year the de-briefing of Timothy Adams is called for and in honour of that we display the much sought after video that brought down his site and which makes him a major contender for top honours in de-briefing. Also displayed are other screen caps and photos -- the face and body that launched unique visitors in the thousands.

One of the projects put together in conjunction with BGR Design by the vast Column of Life staff, was a fan site dedicated to Timothy Adams. it is very easy to see why. In the process we discovered that Mr. Adams is somewhat skittish when it comes to fans. No wonder. This comment came to us today via the site:

Name: Tom

Message: Why are you such a cheeseball? Honestly, you've got an amazing body, but there must be other things you can do besides strip on The View, strip on Law & Order and generally take your clothes off...isn't there? It's just pretty degrading. You are one of those gay Himbos that replaced the jiggle queens of the 70s & 80s (Suzanne Summers, Pam Anderson, etc). Really, try to act with your shirt on dude.

I'm sure you won't let this message be seen...

Well, it looks like Tom didn't realize that there was no indication that this would get to Tim. It's an unofficial fan site. It is thoroughly unfair to "diagnose" Tim's problem as being a "gay himbo," if that indeed were accurate. As you can see in our post from January 2007, a lot, if not most of Tim's acting work does not involve taking his shirt off unfortunately. He didn't do it at all on One Life to Live. Also, he is a fitness model -- that's what they do and if you've got it, as they say, flaunt it. Did you ever watch OZ, Tom?

Timothy, don't ever change. Tom, here's a quarter, call someone who cares.
