Creamy Chocolate Cheese


• 8 ounces mascarpone, softened
• 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
• ½ cup sugar
• ½ teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3 eggs, separated
• 1 cup melted chocolate or nutella
• 1 cup heavy cream or half and half
• 1 teaspoon almond extract
• 1 unbaked pastry shell, unbaked


In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, cinnamon, orange peel and salt; beat well. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in the chocolate, milk, and vanilla. Pour into the unbaked pastry shell. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes. Chill before serving. Serve with whipped cream , if desired.
