March 1, 2006 - Last month, representatives of the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting attended the Berlin Film Festival, where they met with international filmmakers to discuss the "Made in NY" incentive program and opportunities for filmmakers in New York City. They also rooted for New York City's impressive lineup which played at the festival:

The feature film Stay, starring Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts and Ryan Gosling, a $50 million project which shot exclusively in NYC when the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting provided access to the roadways of the Brooklyn Bridge for production. The film tells the story of a professor who tries to prevent a student from committing suicide.

Night Listener, starring Robin Williams, Toni Collette and Sandra Oh, which shot at Silvercup Studios and tells the story of a radio host who begins to question a caller's identity.

The Notorious Bettie Page, starring Gretchen Mol, which tells the story of Page, the famous 1950's pin-up model.

Dave Chappelle's Block Party, featuring music and sketch comedy from the eponymous comedian

Great news. But how? How?! Could Bobby Cannavale, native New Yorker that he is be ignored in spite of his pivotal role in Night Listener?

No one here will will ever be accused of ignoring the especially beautiful man.

There was a time when the Gossip Forum on Datalounge was a particularly entertaining cyberspace, much like a funny Joan Rivers routine. Hi. I'd like to announce the arrival of Aidan Lee St. John into the breathing world. He appeared at 4:03 a.m. on Wednesday the 21st, weighing in at 7 lbs 5.2 oz. He is happy and healthy as is his mother. And although he has no job and still lives with his parents, he seems like a decent enough chap. And I couldn't be more pleased.
