Friday Feature: Missy Keene at Feinstein's

Missy Keene is no stranger to the cabaret scene, having inaugurated Feinstein’s at the Regency’s popular Monday night series with her sold-out show Timeless. Trained at The Juilliard School, some of Missy’s other cabaret appearances include Don’t Tell Mama’s and Backstage at Dopo Teatro. She has been seen in theatrical productions as Sandy in Grease, Kim in Bye Bye Birdie, and in Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell.

Reviewers have written: “Missy Keene brings an innocent, but provocative, style to some of the great music of the past. Her interpretation, looks and voice are reminiscent of a very young Doris Day. She is a dazzler–curvy, young and fresh–an incredible reminder of what Doris must have been like in her early live performances but with a much saucier and sexy style.”

Missy is particularly proud of her musical participation in numerous events commemorating the heroes and victims of 9/11. In her daytime hours, she is Director, Market Strategy for KPMG LLP, one of the largest global professional services firms. When she's not singing or working, Missy can be found skiing with her family or sailing competitively in National Championship Regattas. Her first CD, Christmas Wishes, was released in December 2009. Her new CD, As Long As I’m Singing, is being released to coincide with her two night engagement at Feinstein’s with the same title.

Missy shares the stage with Ken Lundie at the piano (concept and musical direction), John Miller on bass (who has recorded with artists including Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Madonna and is music coordinator on over 100 Broadway shows) and Chris Parker on drums (featured on Platinum, Gold and Grammy award winning albums and CDs with artists such as Cher, Aretha Franklin and Patti LaBelle and has toured with Bette Midler, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, and many others.)
