The Magic Mike star is preparing to play real-life AIDS victim Ron Woodroof alongside two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank in the drama out next year.
Both Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling originally wanted to play Woodruff, the heterosexual, homophobic electrician who perished in 1992 after illegally smuggling HIV drugs not approved in the States.
