Wednesday Word: Chase Coleman's Into the Rose Garden

Hello!

You are invited to attend the official premiere screening of the short film Into the Rose Garden, written and directed by Chase Coleman. This is the first time the fully finished film is being screened, now with the final original score, beautifully composed by Ryan Gordon!

This is scheduled to take place at the following:

Location: Players Club @ 16 Gramercy Park South, New York, NY
Time: 8:00 pm on Friday July 20, 2012

"Have we been waiting for something like this since Billie, then Dinah passed on--i.e. groovy, in-the-tradition jazz singing that actually means something? Heir apparent Betty Carter is on an ego trip, Cassandra Wilson is too arty... and so on. Abbey Lincoln's trip is something else again (perhaps Parisian) as she poignantly introduces "How High The Moon" in broken French and triumphantly ends the set with Francis Lai's "Live For Life."
