POZ’s AND WE LOVE SOAPS’ SIXTH ANNUAL AIDS WALK FUNDRAISER IS WEDNESDAY MAY 11 FROM 5:30-9PM AT PROHIBITION IN MANHATTAN
New York, New York (March 17, 2011)—POZ and We Love Soaps are pleased to announce the sixth annual fundraiser for AIDS Walk New York, Love Out Loud, on Wednesday May 11 from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at Prohibition in Manhattan. This year we have the very entertaining Adam Sank hosting the event. Good friend, Ilene Kristen of One Life to Live is performing again this year with musical hosts, The Murray Weinstock Trio. Other musical guests include Stewart Lewis, Jeremiah Clark, Gregory Nalbone, MarTina Vidmar, David Schaefer and Ken Lundie.
Participation includes many local celebrities, among them, Martha Byrne, the accomplished actress and singer, best known for her role on As the World Turns; Mark Dobies, who appeared in Larry Kramer’s The Normal Heart, good hearted Matt Walton, that Optimum guy from Comedy Central’s SportsDome, actor/director Brian Gaskill, actor/producer Kevin Spirtas, and Nicholas Rodriguez formerly of One Life to Live who just completed a successful run in Oklahoma. Real World’s Scott Herman will be on hand again this year to meet and greet his many fans. Other celebrities will be added in the coming weeks. In October 2009, Newcomb and Jacobs rolled out a weekly web series called We Love Soaps TV featuring celebrity guests and co-hosts and much more. The duo has also guest starred on web series like Imaginary Bitches and Empire. In 2010, We Love Soaps TV launched the 1st Annual Indie Soap Awards to much fanfare and buzz.
