Friday Feature: Missy Keene

Missy Keene is no stranger to the cabaret scene, having inaugurated Feinstein’s at Loews Regency’s popular Monday night series with her sold-out show Timeless. Trained at The Juilliard School, Missy’s other cabaret shows include appearances at Don’t Tell Mama’s, Backstage at Dopo Teatro, among many others. Missy Keane brings an innocent, but provocative, style to some of the great music of the past. Missy's style, looks and voice are reminescent of a very young Doris Day, especially her purring rendition of "Teach Me Tonight".Her take on "What'll I do", sung a capella, is an audience favorite. She is a dazzler, curvy, young and fresh, an incredible reminder of what Doris must have been like in her early live performances. but with a much saucier sexy style. Missy is particularly proud of her musical participation in numerous events commemorating the heroes and victims of 9/11. In her daytime hours, she is Director, Market Strategy for KPMG, LLP, one of the largest global professional services firms. When she's not singing or working, Missy can be found skiing with her family or sailing competitively in National Championship Regattas. Her first CD, Christmas Wishes, was released in December 2009 with proceeds going to The Wounded Warriors Project. She is currently working with her musical director, Ken Lundie, on a new CD to be released in conjunction with Missy’s return performance at Feinstein’s early 2011. We are proud to have Missy as part of the terrific line up for King For A Day. Get your tickets here.
