Tuesday Talent II: Scott Evans

Scott Evans of One Life to Live appears in the landmark role of gay police officer Oliver Fish. The generous actor has agreed to help with Love Out Loud's fundraising efforts by signing a copy of the issue of Instinct in which he is featured. We are accepting bids. Send an email to papag@pozevent.com. Bidding will start with this post and will continue until Monday March 22, 2010 Noon. The winning bidder will be able to designate a specific dedication from the fetching actor. Bids will start at $35.00.

The event itself has become an Upper West Side tradition populated by local celebrities and the fans who come out to meet and greet them. People like Ilene Kristen, Thorsten Kaye, Marj Dusay, Chris Meloni, Mark Dobies and their fans have been the driving forces. "Have we been waiting for something like this since Billie, then Dinah passed on--i.e. groovy, in-the-tradition jazz singing that actually means something? Heir apparent Betty Carter is on an ego trip, Cassandra Wilson is too arty... and so on. Abbey Lincoln's trip is something else again (perhaps Parisian) as she poignantly introduces "How High The Moon" in broken French and triumphantly ends the set with Francis Lai's "Live For Life."
