Tuesday's Talent: Ilene Kristen. Thorsten Kaye, and Christopher Meloni

It's that time again to make people aware that the largest AIDS fund-raising event in the world is going take place in the city that many people consider to be the capital of the world. New York can afford the opportunity not only for formidable events like the New York AIDS Walk but also to become friends with exceptional people, one of whom is the multi-talented Ilene Kristen (Roxy on One Life to Live)who is generous to a fault and was the first to volunteer her presence and musical talent for "Love Out Loud" the annual fund-raiser promoted by POZ magazine's publisher at Prohibition. This year it's taking place as usual on the Wednesday prior to the walk on May 14, 2008 from 5:45 to 9:00 PM at Prohibition at 84th & Columbus. The idea is to get fans to come meet their favourite local celebs and donate to the team effort. Every year the amount raised grows. Ilene has been part of every event. The woman's generosity and kindness is without bounds.

Thorsten Kaye has been with us from the beginning. His fans will follow the charmer anywhere and who can blame them. Generosity must be in the air on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, because he, too, has caught the bug. He usually works the room as every eye follows his movement. He is blessed with fans who know how to give back and they certainly do him justice.
His Zach Slater on All My Children provides the old war horse of a show with much needed class and edge. He has a subtle approach that seethes. It's hard to turn away.

Although he is invited every year, Christopher Meloni has yet to make an appearance, although he has made valiant attempts, but he is intrinsically involved by helping out with auctions for items that he signs to winners' specifications. He finds time for us while he is invited to every fund-raising event that Gotham has to offer. It's great that someone as genuine as Chris has made it in the sense that he is part of the tapestry of this great city.
Other actors have followed their lead, among them Jeff Branson, Kelli Giddish, Matt Walton, Brian Gaskill, Chrishell Stause, Mark Dobies, Melissa Claire Egan, Alec Musser, Bree Williamson, Brandon Buddy, and BethAnn Bonner. It's our hope that it will continue to be an important event on the road to the walk.
